The town has 20 000 inhabitants and currently one of the biggest malls in the country was finished in 2009. Jeffreys Bay is situated next to the N2 highway. It is located around 70 km from Port Elizabeth and 650 km from Cape Town. Another one of the advantages of Jeffreys Bay is that it is located at the beginning of the 'Garden Route', which is the most visited tourist attraction on the South African Coast.
Safaris and National Parks are the Addo Elephant National Park, Tsitsikamma National Park, Baviaanskloof, Kragga Kamma Lion Park, Shamwari Game Reserve, Kwantu Game Reserve and National Park and the Robberg Coastal Park. The top golf courses are St. Francis Links, Pezula, Simola, Fancourt, Goose Valley, Fish River Sun, Royal Port Alfred, Oubaai, Pinnacle Point, Bushmans Sands, Knysna. Good golf courses are Zwartenbosch in Humansdorp, Jeffreys Bay Country Club, St.Francis, Fynbos, Walmer and Little Walmer and Hankey Golf Club.
